A gifted leader, trainer and facilitator, Cliff is passionate about the possibilities provided by positive human connections. Focusing on the potential in young people and their adult counterparts, Cliff dedicated 24 years of his career to serving as a middle school and high school principal.

As students and faculty who have worked with him will attest, Cliff doesn’t just think outside the box but asks, “Who needs a box anyway?” Known for his humor, energy, and non-sequiturs, he also brings a thoughtful and considered approach to situations. He is an excellent thought-partner for those facing uncertainty, whether around challenges or opportunities, and is an accomplished mediator in conflict situations.

Cliff earned master’s degrees in both social work and business from Louisiana State University, and his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Innovation from the University of Colorado. He has taught graduate courses at Colorado University and University of Northern Colorado. He is currently an adjunct professor for business and education at Colorado Mountain College and for graduate research at Denver University.
